Jordan Adoni started Modern Vice Academy, having a passion for footwear, wanted a place to teach people how to design shoes, create samples and inspire people to do more in the footwear industry.

Our Team
Modern Vice Academy is led by Shoe industry & celebrity designer Jordan Adoni. Jordan is a 2nd generation designer and manufacturer. Jordan has designed and created unparalleled shoe and sneakers for many of the top shoe designers, boutique brands and celebrities such as NAS, SWIZZ BEATS, LADY GAGA, BEYONCE QUESTLOVE, KATE HUDSON, TERRY CRUISE, LAUREN HILL, RITA ORA and many more.
2022 has been a banner year for Modern Vice and Jordan Adoni with the launching of a bespoke collection for LENNY KRAVITZ.
Jordan Adoni, has owned and operated the Made in Midtown shoe factory for over 10 years and has accumulated a vast amount of knowledge about manufacturing, footwear sales, direct to consumer vs. wholesale models, design detailing, material knowledge and much more.

Event Space
Shoemaking Party
Ranging from 2-4 days depending on the design and difficulty of the shoe class being purchased, students will learn to properly dismantle a shoe, dissect the parts to make the pattern, select from our beautiful selection of leathers, meshes, materials and components for your new design, cut the parts using your new pattern, assemble it and attach the original bottom to create your final finished customer pair.

Classes at Modern Vice Academy are taught by world-class Pattern Makers, Upper makers, Designers, & Shoe Makers that each have more than 30 years of experience. Every class has more than a century of experience at their fingertips. Our main goal is to find, develop and cultivate the next generation of footwear designers and creators and this industry is hands-on. This is an offering that currently does not exist in the marketplace.
In addition, we want students who want to create like their idols and influence culture in their neighborhoods as we have. Most students are from the tri-state area but we have others from Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and from foreign countries.

Modern Vice Academy has just completed a year-long renovation that exemplifies the combination of digital, physical, musical and mechanical components that make up a successful shoe and accessory offering. We have leveraged our life-time network of local famous artists and we are covered from floor to ceiling in inspirational artwork. Modern Vice Academy also has a state-of-the-art sound system that enhances the creative process.
